Heading to Sea Otter!

Sea Otter Classic is a massive UCI cycling event in Monterey, California every April.  There is mountain and road racing although I'll only be doing the endurance mountain bike events: short track on saturday and cross country on sunday.  I'm so looking forward to my first race weekend on my new baby...

You can read all about him here

I still haven't settled on a name yet but I have a feeling Sea Otter will help us become better acquainted so that naming him will be easier.  Perhaps Jack?  Lol.  In all seriousness, it's important to find the right name for your bikes.  They work better and live longer that way. It's akin the studies on how talking to plants in soothing, loving tones made them healthier and grow faster ;).
Here is another picture JoAnn took at Moab; Rachel prompted me to point in the direction of where we were heading on our ride while showing off my MAD triceps.  Don't you see them?  Well, they're under my thermal, I can assure you.

And now, a profound deep-thoughts section...
